1992年底，一個寒冷的冬夜，五個來自英國曼徹斯特的年輕男孩搭上一輛便車，一路直駛至蘇格蘭的格拉斯哥，然後五人步行到一間酒吧裡，告訴酒吧經理如果今晚不讓他們上台表演，他們就死賴著不走。經理想想讓他們表演也沒啥損失，於是就答應了他們的要求。這支團名取做Oasis 的樂團，一上台就攫獲了所有在場客人的注意力－其中包括了Creation唱片公司的總裁Alan McGee。1993年5月31日，與當時相當受到囑目、剛與Creation唱片簽定合約的樂團18 Wheeler一起在格拉斯哥Wah Wah Hut俱樂部一起演唱的Oasis，再度讓Alan McGee留下深刻印象，當下決定與Oasis簽下合約，這支當今最屌樂團的傳奇就次展開。 
      对于这只英伦旗帜性的乐队不需要在多说什么了，他们的辉煌见证了英伦摇滚在当时欧美乐队横行的年代所处举足轻重的地位。
